May'n's album was much much much better then her first mini-album. Get Ready reminds me of S-club 7. I think May'n went for the anison route, which I think is the correct choice, as most of her fans are otakus. May'n's english is pretty darn good, I can actually tell what words she's singing.

Hirano Aya started out pretty well. God Knows and Lost My Music are very good songs. Back then she didn't 'shout in the mic', she actually sung the song in a stronger tone, but that's it. The only song I liked on her 2nd album was Unnamed World, because she sang the song and not shouted it. Talking about May'n being good at english, anyone heard Hirano Aya's engish song, Maybe I can't Good bye? She even penned the lyrics herself. I didn't even realise it was an english till I read the lyrics...

May'n's songs are indeed very American-influenced (the lyricist for many of her songs is not japanese !). May'n's style of songs kind reminds me of Boa, in a more pop way though.

Totally agreed about Hirano Aya ! ^o^

YUI never disappoints. :3 I understand what you mean about her songs sounding alike, but I guess that's YUI-style? XDD

May'n, on the other hand... I can understand why people would like 'Styles', but personally, it didn't leave an impact.
And is it just me or does her songs seem a bit American-influenced?

I didn't bother with Hirano Aya's new album. Until Lantis (or whoever gives her songs to sing) realizes that crazy-energetic-high-pitched-bubble-pop songs DOESN'T suit her voice, I can't bring myself to care. XP She HAS potential, but not with these songs she is singing. XP
